The third edition of the Human Economic Forum at the Italian Parliament in Rome brings together religious representatives and experts in artificial intelligence and robotics to discuss technology, human development and society.
Held at the Chamber of Deputies’ Sala del Refettorio in Rome, this HEF meeting explored two legislative approaches to the value created by artificial intelligence, social protection and the future of work. The event presented books by Giammario Battaglia and Vincenzo Naschi and was attended by former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
On 3 July 2026, the HEF Scientific Committee met at the Borgo Campello sul Clitunno relais. The Executive Committee and the Scientific Committee discussed the programme for the year, with particular attention to preparations for HEF 2026, the main event taking place in December.
The second edition, “Vision 2040”, brought together institutions, researchers, business and religious representatives to discuss AI, human dignity and social sustainability. Sessions on 9 December at Palazzo San Macuto preceded the 10 December plenary in Sala della Regina, at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome.
During the first Human Economic Forum, Pope Francis welcomed HEF participants to the Vatican. His address encouraged the Forum’s mission, placing human dignity and integral development at the heart of economic activity, with attention to people experiencing poverty, the excluded and our common home.
The first edition brought together institutions, researchers, business and religious representatives in Rome to explore human sustainability. Following the opening on 10 December, the main meeting took place in Sala della Regina at the Chamber of Deputies on 11 December, with discussions on artificial intelligence, privacy, social responsibility and technology ethics.
